Isuzu Commercial Truck of America, Inc has announced that it broke two crucial sales records in 2017 – with both truck sales and parts sales setting records for a third consecutive year. Isuzu has been the best-selling low cab forward trucks in the USA every year since 1986.
22,633 Isuzu trucks were sold to customers last year, a new record that has yet again set a benchmark by which to measure future sales.
Isuzu parts sales also set a record in 2017, as Isuzu dealers purchased parts at a 3.9% increase over 2016.
Shaun C. Skinner, President of Isuzu Commercial Truck of America, affirmed that the increased market competition Isuzu saw last year was not enough to slow Isuzu’s strong sales. “Our 2017 results are a testament to the hard work of our dealer body and our field force—and, of course, the loyalty of our customers.”
Skinner expressed continued optimism for 2018, citing continued demand for Medium-duty trucks that he expects will increase as the retail environment continues to adopt new technologies and “rely less on bricks and mortar”. The recently-launched all-new Class 6 FTR recently joined the Isuzu family of commercial trucks, creating what Skinner described as “the strongest lineup we have ever offered”.
“Combine all these factors and 2018 looks to be another great year for Isuzu.”
